Hello there!
The following information is specifically for those planning a visit, so that you have an idea of what to expect on a Sunday morning.
Where and When
We meet at the beautiful chapel (Map) for our Sunday Gathering, which starts at 10:30am. For your first visit, we recommend arriving 10 minutes early to ensure you can meet a few folk and be welcomed. We have a large car park with ample parking. During the summer months the road can be quite busy with parked cars so do take care.
When you arrive, you should be greeted by someone at the door. Most people enter via the door nearest the car park but some choose to walk round to the front.
Accessibility
There is wheelchair access via the side door and an accessible toilet. We also have a few aids available should you need some assistance, and a sound loop for anyone who needs it.
Our Morning Gathering
The morning gathering begins at 10:30am. Then follows a time of sung worship. This also includes a few family matters or notices and something for the younger ones, before the children head to their group. Sometimes a person might pray out loud or read a small passage from the bible. Sometimes people share things that they believe God is saying to the whole church family. This might seem strange the first time you hear it but it’s all part of our connecting with God. One of the ministers or the preaching team will then give a talk that is bible based and that we can apply to our everyday life. We then finish with another song or two. There is also the opportunity to receive prayer at the end of the service.
Our usual pattern of services is as follows
1st Sunday - Communion
2nd Sunday - Messy Church for all starting at 10:15 with refreshments and craft activities for all ages
3rd Sunday - Communion
4th Sunday - Small groups - for this we begin with worship and then hear a Bible story before splitting into 3 or 4 groups for discussion before coming back together to share what we've learned
5th Sunday - Testimony Sunday - a chance to share what God's been doing in our lives.
What about my kids?
Children join us for the beginning of the gathering, as we really value worshipping God all together as a family. There is a table with a craft or colouring activity for them to enjoy before they head out to their own 'Mini Church''. All of our leaders have been DBS checked. During Mini Church, the kids enjoy a range of activities including Bible stories, singing and dancing, games, craft, prayer and free play.
Please pick your children up as soon as the gathering finishes.
We hope that whoever you are, we hope to see you soon.
